Had me bound to the chair reading through this.

Not sure what the lock even unlocks so I don't feel like ging for a run without seedmaxxing.

i figured the lock out , you will need to keep your bracelet till the end of game (which means that you can't reach into debris to find seeds)..

Really nice job with this. Very nicely crafted and I very much enjoyed the story! :)

When a random person from my secondary school turns up at the door with a boardgame, I'm telling them to jog on. JOG. ON.

Another surreal, ethereal experience from whilegameisfalse, with some thought provoking and heavy themes at play - I usually do a short recap of my thoughts at the end of my videos, but I was left a little awe-struck as I was still processing all the events.

I gave in to my baser instincts and rifled through the junk to get more seeds, but upon reflection I should have kept the bracelet - guess I'll just have to play again and try and get that lock on the start screen open!

Thanks for playing! Do let the story sink in for a bit, I tried to give a lot to chew on. Left a comment as always.

I'm glad you enjoyed it! As for a secret, I wonder what that lock on the main menu means ...

guess i need to play again;)

is it related to winning/losing the game? (not quite a chess player, guess the board game has moderate difficulty for me lol

Sort of. There's a hint in the references file

thanks! will check that out

well guess i know the word from the bracelet, but not sure how to solve it through game play

just came back to this game once more and yeah,  solving the lock is actually quite straight forward (didn't realize i can directly type stuff before..)   About the secret -  well it's like some nice shimmering hope but most likely to be transient as well. But anyway. The story's ending is already satisfying to us players, much better than what could happen in real life where no Oasis exists. Thanks for making this.
